Relaxed perfomances
Relaxed performances are open to everyone, with an environment that has been considered particularly for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment including pre-school children, individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, those with sensory and communication impairments, those with learning disabilities and people with dementia.
These performances are produced in a variety of ways to reduce anxiety and ensure a safe and enjoyable live event experience:
· The doors are opened 10 minutes before the event for families to become familiar with the environment before the event begins and make themselves comfortable
· Participants can arrive quietly in the venue before the event begins
· There is a relaxed attitude to audience noise
· The lights in the auditorium remain low throughout the show
· There are no sudden loud noises
· Audience members are free to leave and re-enter the auditorium at any point
· Our venue staff will be briefed on how they can support you and the event
· Events will state whether they are relaxed in both the brochure and the What's On grid for each Festival
· You can contact us in advance if you have any questions at boxoffice@cheltenhamfestivals.com
