About us
Cheltenham Festivals is a charitable organisation that co-creates experiences which bring joy, spark curiosity, connect communities and inspire change on a local, national and global scale. Our work is focused on the curation of four of the world's most recognised Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festival, plus the all year round Learning and Participation and Talent Development programmes we build. We are driven by a desire to live in a world in which everyone can explore and create culture.
Thanks to your support we change lives through:
- Placing authors in local schools to inspire children in intensive year-round projects to improve literacy rates.
- Giving opportunities to emerging musicians, composers, authors and scientists to develop their talent by participating in the Festivals alongside internationally recognised names.
- Enabling over 30,000 school children to take part in our annual Learning and Participation programme, with transport and tickets provided for those schoolchildren who otherwise would not be able to visit the Festivals.
- Creating over 800 events across four Festivals each year, allowing our audiences to hear music ranging from big-band jazz to classical guitar, and speakers discussing subjects from democracy to genetics.
