Diversity
We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for everyone.
Our Festivals are dedicated to providing a harassment-free Festival experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of Festival participants or attendees in any form, for any reason.
Keychange
Cheltenham Festivals is signed up to the Keychange a pioneering international initiative with the ambition of achieving a 50:50 gender balance in our programming by 2022
We are one of over 100 Festivals taking the pledge to tackle gender inequality in the music industry, supporting inclusion for present and future generations.
Accessibility
Cheltenham Festivals has signed up as a disability confident employer alongside 16,000 other organisations. Disability Confident organisations are playing a leading role in changing attitudes for the better, changing behaviour and cultures in their own businesses, networks and communities, and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.
The scheme helps us recruit and retain great people, and:
-
draw from the widest possible pool of talent
-
secure high quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working
-
improve employee morale and commitment by demonstrating that you treat all employees fairly
It also helps customers and other businesses identify those employers who are committed to equality in the workplace.
Sustainability
Festival Vision 2025
Cheltenham Festivals has signed up to Powerful Thinking’s Festival Vision 2025 Pledge. By doing so we aim to achieve a 50% reduction in festival-related annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2025.
The purpose of the 2025 Pledge is to show that we are taking steps toward becoming more sustainable. At our Festivals we are ensuring:-
- 0% of our waste goes to landfill
- Reduce and reuse single-use materials on site
- Asking speakers and audiences to reduce travel-related emissions by choosing public transport, car sharing, cycling and using electric vehicles
